This is a great and unique colaboration between musicians from Berlin and Barcelona, from Germany and Catalunia.
At the "Jazzman Club" this extraordinary Duo will play some of the most beautiful tunes written by Jazz musicians such as Wayne Shorter, Thelonious Monk, Miles Davis and Thad Jones as well as some famous songs from the "Great American Songbook".

Listen to some music here:

TOOTS THIELEMANS writes: The world of Matthias Bröde – schooled musician pianist composer harmonica virtuoso…I can only applaud Matthias and his friends. I enjoy and I learn…”

MATTHIAS BRÖDE, born in Karlsruhe, Germany, is one of the most interesting and unique German musicians. Being an outstanding improviser & composer his main instruments are harmonica & piano. Especially on harmonica his constant search for new sounds & his wide range of stiles distinguish him a lot from other players. He plays mostly Jazz & Improvised Music but as a musician with the ears wide open he has worked in many different music stiles during his career.
MATTHIAS BRÖDE IS THE WINNER OF THE WDR JAZZ AWARD 2013 IN THE IMPROVISATION CATEGORY and also the WINNER of the STUDIO AWARD JAZZ 2015 given by the SENATE of BERLIN.

MANEL FORTIÀ, born in Cassa de la Selva (Girona), combines the double bass and electric bass in his profession, always participating in a variety of musical projects. He has performed in some of them major venues and festivals in Europe as Jamboree Jazz Club, Nova Jazz Cava Terrassa, Sunset Jazz Club, Auditori de Barcelona, Palau de la Musica, Auditorium Pau Casals, Apolo, Jazz Hivern Andorra, Festival PIR, Waldsee jazz …playing alongside musicians with national and international prestige.
He won the contests Jazz Fringe 2010 and 2011 of Girona with GRA ‘the trio’ and Psicolab 5tet. He won the contest Jazz Fusion Mans Paideia Foundation TAK! in 2013.
